Team Australia gathering SF
On Thursday May 4th CSIRO US hosted “Team Australia”, expats and partners in San Francisco.
575 Market St, otherwise known as “Australia House” is home to the West Coast offices of CSIRO, Austrade and the Australian Consulate, The Australian Landing Pad, the Victorian Government, South Australian Government and the Queensland Government Offices. Along with the presence of the New South Wales Government and the Australian American Chamber of Commerce, “Team Australia” are working together to showcase Australian industry, innovation and talent.
CSIRO was delighted to host our colleagues from the Bay Area Council, who are planning a Trade Mission to Sydney and Brisbane led by California Natural Resources Secretary Wade Crowfoot from July 21-29 with a focus on Advanced technologies for water and wastewater, including desalinization, water markets and water rights reforms, Cleantech and renewable energy, Wildfire adaptation and Sustainable building.
Our friends from Stanford University joined us for discussions on the new SLAC-Stanford Battery Center with our Energy experts Cameron Briggs from Origin Energy and Audrey Zibelman ex GoogleX. Guests included: Chris Boshuizen, Blue Origin Commercial Astronaut and Dan Miller from Twelve, The Carbon Transformation Company and Miki Sode our colleague from the ISS.
